Technological Marvels

In the CU Book Store, we strive to bring you an experience unlike any other, on- or off-campus. Our answer to this mission in the Technology department is the Tech Experience – an immersive, novel location where you can see and use today’s technological marvels.

• Interact – Experience new and exciting worlds in Virtual Reality! Have you ever wanted to take on a mission from Luke Skywalker on Tatooine? Perhaps you’d like to take a step into the lab of a master wizard and learn his strongest spells. Instead, you might be interested in experiencing music in a new way where, not only are you surrounded by sound, you’re actually slicing your way through it. We can provide many of these novel experiences in new realities using the impressive capabilities of the HTC Vive and Sony PS4 VR.
• Play – Need to take a break? Come play a game in the Tech Experience. We have a number of current games on the PS4, as well as many retro options, available to play whenever you’d like. Just stop by and ask an associate for details.
• Learn – Curious about 3D modeling? Always wanted to try out your DIY electronics skills with a Raspberry Pi? Join us as we pass on some of the knowledge we’ve gained using these systems over the years. Tech Demos and Class announcements coming soon.
• Create – Have you ever watched a 3D printer create something in real time? Do you have models needing printing? Perhaps you’d like to customize the lid of your new MacBook? Inquire with one of our associates about how to create something for yourself.
